Thursday the 22nd of June 2023 marked a momentous occasion not only for Lega Calcio a 8 sports league in Italy but for local football here in Malta.

The 8-A-Side Football Europe Cup was contested between Italian legend Francesco Totti's Totti Weese C8 and our very own Leggendarji FC—who were the champions of our most recent Football Amateur League - FAL 8aside season hosted at Gharghur Football Ground.

A sold-out crowd turned up to the occasion in the Stadio Alfredo Berra to see the final which ended 5-2 to Totti Weese C8 with Totti himself making it on the scoresheet.
A huge congratulations to the winning team, and even to our local champions Leggendarji FC for sporting the Gharghur FC home kit during the championship match. They have done Malta proud by putting up a valiant effort on the grand occasion.

Now plans are being put in place to try and host Totti Weese C8 on our home soil for a future exhibition game—an occasion that would certainly gain a lot of interest to see such a legend of the game grace one of our fields.
